This site was established while I was a Member of Parliament. As Parliament has been dissolved there are no Members of Parliament until after the Election on 8 June 2017.

As your MP I've always worked hard with the whole community to get things done – like getting the A21 dualled, the Pembury Hospital built and the North Farm traffic improved.

There's more we can do – like improving our mental health services, getting better broadband coverage and upgrading the next section of the A21.

With best wishes

My local priorities are:

Improving health services

We now have one of the best hospitals in the country at Pembury but I will continue to fight for improvements to vital health services – including mental health services, especially for young people, and improved stroke services and support for people with Alzheimer's and their carers.

Upgrading our transport links

I fought successfully for the A21 to be dualled between Tonbridge and Pembury, and there's more to do. I want to see the next section of the A21 upgraded and the A228 over Colts Hill to be improved. The new rail franchise must be a big improvement over Southeastern's performance and value for money. It must continue to fully serve local stations like Paddock Wood, Marden and Staplehurst. I will continue to press for better facilities for cycling, for improved local bus services and for further improvements to aircraft noise from Gatwick, following the recent noise review.

Supporting opportunity for people and businesses

We need to make sure people and businesses get all the support they need to achieve their best. That includes getting better broadband and mobile coverage, especially in our rural areas. We need to build more good schools where there are shortages of places and to provide more high quality apprenticeships and opportunities in technical education. We must make sure we build homes that are affordable so that our young people don't have to move away to afford a home of their own.
