Greg Makes the Case for Dualling Kippings Cross to Lamberhurst

Greg and Roads Minister, Andrew Jones MP, drove along the A21 between Kippings Cross and Lamberhurst to demonstrate the need for dualling the road from the Blue Boys roundabout. He was joined by Hastings & Rye MP, The Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP.

Greg said:

"We spent this morning showing the Roads Minister the Kippings Cross to Lamberhurst stretch of the A21 so that he could see for himself the need for its dualling. Now armed with first-hand experience, we have asked him to dust off the plans for dualling this stretch so the economic potential of this road can be fully unlocked.

"This follows a meeting last month with the Secretary of State for Transport, The Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin MP, at which Amber and I set out our ambition to see a modern dual carriageway which befits the main link between the M25 and south coast.

"With the Tonbridge to Pembury stretch in the bag, this marks the beginning of a new chapter in the A21 campaign."
