Paddock Wood Station is to benefit from a £70,000 investment in its cycling facilities and is only one of three stations in the South East to be nominated for investment. This funding comes from a £2.5 million Government initiative to provide 1,180 cycle parking spaces at railway stations across England.
Greg said: “Paddock Wood station is a significant commuter hub and serves many of my constituents. As we begin to lift lockdown measures and people restart commuting, we should ensure as many people as possible have the option of starting and ending their journey by bike.
“This will not only help cement a trend towards cycling but will also help play a part in keeping the UK on target to become carbon neutral by 2050.”
