Greg has thanked the bus drivers, mechanics and management at the Tunbridge Wells Arriva depot for their service during the Covid-19 pandemic.
During his visit to the depot on Kingstanding Way on 21 May, Greg spoke to several members of staff about their experience of working during the pandemic and how the service was adapted to cope with the unprecedented challenge.
Following his visit, Greg wrote to Arriva's Area Manger, Simon Finnie, to officially thank all members of the Arriva Team who helped ensure the buses continued to run during the height of the pandemic, ensuring many key workers could continue to get to work during this critical time.
Greg said: "I wanted to thank you following my visit to the Arriva bus depot in Tunbridge Wells on 21 May to thank you and all your colleagues for your service during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"The crucial role that the whole team played in ensuring there was a bus service for my constituents during one of the most difficult times in living memory was a historic piece of service to the community. Without your colleagues many other key workers would not have been able to get to work to get us through the crisis.
"Please give my thanks to everyone at the Tunbridge Wells depot who put themselves at potential risk to ensure the buses ran on time when we needed them most. I look forward to continue to work closely with Arriva in the futute and to helping encourage more people back onto the buses in the months ahead."
