Greg was delighted to accept an invitation to visit Aspens, a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities based in Cornford Lane, Pembury.

He spent this morning meeting some of the people that live there or attend day services, hearing about the wide - ranging support that they are given by a dedicated team of staff that equip them with skills to live as independently as possible.

Greg visited the art studio and saw some of the artwork that Aspens clients had produced.

Jamie Redwood (Picture 1) had made this stunning model of Big Ben, his next project is to make a model of Buckingham Palace.

Alan O Brien (Picture 2) made this stunning donkey from wool.

Greg also spoke to Stuart (Picture 3), who was supported through Aspen’s employability scheme, he has gained the skills and confidence necessary to apply for and hold down a job and is now working part time in the on site café.
