Greg met with representatives of the Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign in Parliament today to discuss how MPs can work with campaign groups to better scrutinise the airport’s plans for future growth.
Alongside Tom Tugendhat, the two MPs pledged to support efforts by campaign organisations such as GACC to implement a system which will ensure proper oversight of Gatwick’s growth plans.
Greg said: “Any changes at Gatwick must not be at the expense of more noise for my constituents – in fact this should be an opportunity to make changes to reduce the nuisance many people are experiencing.
“That is why we agreed that any plans for the future of Gatwick must be fully scrutinised so that their impact on noise can be assessed by expert groups working on behalf of the communities.”
