night flights

Greg and the other MPs in the Gatwick Co-ordination Group have submitted a joint letter to the Department for Transport's night flight review.

The letter stresses essential need to reform night flights to and from Gatwick, which have continued to impact upon constituents during the Covid-19 lockdown, in a way which ensures the aviation sector remains sustainable in the long run.

The submission raises concerns about the proposed two year extension of the airport’s night flight quota and puts forward suggestions on how to mitigate future night flight disturbance, such as taking health effects into account and the introduction of pricing disincentives.
