The Friends of Grosvenor & Hilbert Park and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have been awarded nearly £2.5m to improve the facilities in the park including restoring the lake and building new play areas.
Greg is a Patron of the Friends group and supported their bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
He commented:
"Opening in 1889, Grosvenor & Hilbert Park was Tunbridge Wells' first public park and is much loved by local residents. This funding will help further improve the park to the benefit of many future generations. Congratulations to both the Borough Council and the Friends of Grosvenor & Hilbert Park for all their hard work in securing this award."
