Greg has written to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Oliver Dowden, to not delay its approval for the Goudhurst Demand Lead Project to go ahead when it comes to the department to be signed off.

The Community Fibre Partnership will see Openreach provide superfast braodband to approximately 800 properties in Goudhurst and Curtisden Green and a further 185 in Kilndown.

In his letter to Oliver Dowden, Greg said: "I believe the success of this community led project will greatly benefit my constituents in Goudhurst and act as a good example of the Government delivering on its commitments to upgrade rural broadband and the country's fibre network. I hope DCMS will act swiftly to give this scheme the go-ahead when Openreach submits it to the department for approval."
