Greg has pledged to continue to meet his constituents face to face following the tragic death of Sir David Amess.
The MP for Southend West was murdered in a terror related incident at a constituency surgery on 15 October.
Paying tribute to his colleague, Greg said: “I feel devastated by the brutal killing of Sir David Amess. David was a wonderful man – full of warmth and kindness and a tireless champion of his constituents on Southend. He is enormously missed.”
However, Greg remains eager to meet his constituents and to reassure them that he remains accessible, adding: "I think that it is essential to my work as an MP that I am able to be in constant touch with my constituents, including meeting face to face. At my constituency surgeries people come to see me for help with difficult and often personal problems and meeting in person can often be the best way to understand and act on them.
"I am conscious of the risks involved - including those to my hardworking team - and we do take precautions. The local police have always been very helpful in keeping us safe. But at the end of the day I want to be - and enjoy being- accessible to any constituents who wants to talk about a policy or needs my help."
