Cost of living support
Many people are concerned about the rising cost of living and some may be in need of support at this particularly difficult time.
Although many of the main forces driving inflation are global in nature – such as surging oil and gas prices due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the disruption to global supply chains following Covid – steps were being taken by the last Government to ease pressures on households, such as the energy price cap and grants that have been distributed through the council tax bill.
