Goudhurst Project B1 reaches delivery stage

A further 80 households around Goudhurst will soon receive fibre broadband after project B1 was approved to move into delivery stage. It is estimated the build time will be 12 months. 

These households will join the 250 other homes and businesses in Goudhurst which formed part of Project A that moved into delivery stage in August. The project was broken down into 3 constituents parts, A, B1 and B2 after Greg raised concerns that lower uptake in some of the rural areas was holding back the bulk of the project and reducing its cost effectiveness. 

Voucher funding for B2 is now under way.
