Greg was delighted to attend an assembly at Oakley School. Some of the pupils had visited the Houses of Parliament recently and they had lots of questions to ask him.
Greg visited the construction site of the A21 dualling to mark the decision by Highways England to fund a new cycle path that will link the centre of Tonbridge to Pembury. The route will also be able to be used by pedestrians and horseriders.
Greg spoke to representatives of over 30 local companies at a West Kent Chamber of Commerce event about his Ministerial role as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and also his local constituency priorities including improved broadband services.
On a visit to Bishops Down Primary School, Greg took questions from the school council over lunch, then held a mock House of Commons debate for the Key Stage 2 classes during their assembly.
Greg commemorated Armistice Day with pupils from The Wells Free School. After a short service which included one of the classes singing "Keep the Home Fires Burning", Greg helped the children plant the poppies they had made.
