Backing young people

I believe that every young person should be able to get a good place in a good school, get an apprenticeship, job, or a place at university and get onto the housing ladder locally. I am working with local schools and employers to improve the chances of young people with special educational needs to gain work experience.

Coffee and cards at Oakley College

Greg visited Oakley college today to celebrate the recent tie-up between Tesco and the college, which provides further education for 18 to 25 year olds with learning difficulties. 

Pitching in at the Sea Cadet car wash

Following his recent acceptance of the post of Vice President of the TS Brilliant - Tunbridge Wells Sea Cadets - Greg decided to help serve his new unit by pitching in with their Sunday car wash at the Skinners School on St John's Road. 

Greg backs Bikeability

Greg attended a Bikeability session run by Kent County Council at St James' School today.

Bikeability is an extremely popular course that teaches primary school children about how to cycle safely on the road.

Greg celebrates the return of sport with some high Flyerz

Greg has welcomed the recent return of organised sports by getting stuck into a game of hockey with the TW Flyerz.

He was invited to join the training session for the Flyerz after attending an online training session for the team during the November lockdown.

Greg visits Goudhurst Primary School

Greg paid a visit to Goudhurst Primary School today following an invite from Executive Headteacher, Lindsay Roberts, to see the great progress the school has taken in adapting to Covid-19 and social distancing measures.

Greg marks National Apprenticeship Week with business and hospital visits

For National Apprenticeship Week Greg visited six businesses and Tunbridge Wells Hospital to talk to their apprentices, including; Muffett Gears, One Warwick Park Hotel, Arriva, Baxall Construction, GingerMay and AXA PPP in order to learn more about their experiences and help promote apprenticesh

Q&A at Skinners' Kent Primary School

Greg paid a visit to Skinners' Kent Primary School earlier today where he faced an inquisitive Q&A from the school's year 5 pupils. Greg, who officially opened the school in 2016, was incredibly impressed by the calibre of the questions he was asked.

Bennett sixth form invite Greg to Q&A

Brexit, the environment and the current discourse in politics, were among the main topics Greg addressed today during a Q&A session with the Bennett Memorial sixth form.
